Idol [SPOILER]

Okay, I helped the poor man and did what he said, I protected his men so that they could dig into the mine, I retrieved the idol and killed the doomsayer outside, but where am I to sell it? In various stores I can only get 50 gp's...

I think the main advantage of getting the idol is that you get to fight the Doomsayer. In other words you get more XP.

However:

If you want to do something with the Idol, now that you have it, you can trade it for a cursed sword:

"If you have both the Ancient Armor from the Firewine Ruins and the Idol of Kozah, then when you talk to the Ghost of Ulcaster, he will automatically exchange these two items for the Vampiric Sword...NOTE: If you have trouble getting this item, I'm pretty sure that it isn't in all versions of the game. Also, you MUST have killed the Doomsayer when you got the Idol." From Dan Simpson's walkthrough.

The problem with this sword is that it subtracts for
your HP every time you hit someone (hence the "revenge" aspect in the sword's name.) But it is a rather interesting easter egg, if you're into that sort of thing.

No need for cursed swords...so...there's noone out there who'll pay more than 50 gp's for the idol?

nope... don't think so... ou can keep ot as a trophy or something

Nope, and you don't need the money, so I'll trade it for the sword, if you don't get it, I think I had a bugfix by Baldurdash that corrected it.

So look over there before trading.
