Can't open locked chest in Ice Palace

ANy ideas on how to open a locked chest in the Treasure room of the Ice Palace in Chapter two. This is the only chest my rogue hasn't been able to open. I beleive there is a message that says something like the chest cannot be open and simple spells may not work. Thanks. Jon

Looking over the walkthrough, I still can't remember a chest that's difficult to open in that area. Is it level 1 or 2? Need more details.

Thanks for the reply.
I believe it is the chest that hold Nathiels Ring of the Ram. I found his bag of holding in another area. I have finished all other quests and fights on this level and just wanted to get this chest open before I leave.
I think the problem is that I already talked to Nathiel and he left with the bag of holding to help fix the air ship. I believe it is a glitch if no one else had this problem.

Have you tried forcing the lock? Sometimes that works. Or you could try alternating forcing it and picking it. I find that, unless the lock is magically sealed so that you can never open it, you can usually get it to open if you're just persistent enough.
