hi there. got a prob with my cleric.
is on lvl 7 or 8 now, but when i want to choose the spells
to memorize from the spell book, the lvl4 spells aren't there...
i got 2 free slots to memorize lvl4 spells, but on the left side are no lvl 4 spells listed at all. wtf is going on here?
Cleric spells Lvl 4 do not 'appear'!?!

About spells in Edition 3.5
I think I know what's going on.
thepunk: You may need the patch, if you haven't already downloaded it. In case you're wondering, it's been out since about the first week of this month, and a link to it can be found in Atari's ToEE forum.
Also, Wisdom increased by stat buffs (i.e: Owl's Wisdom or an item enchanted by such) does not add spells. It only adds to Wis-based abilities (Heal, for instance), and Difficulty Class for divine spells cast (so, for instance, a cleric casting Silence would have his spell more difficult to roll a proper saving throw against).
Thought I might try and clear that up for you. If anyone wishes to add to this - in case there's something more to this than I realized (since honestly, my knowledge of this comes mostly from word of mouth, errr... I mean stroke of key, by reading posts in Atari's ToEE forum) - then go right ahead.

Dungeon Crawl Inc.: It's the most fun you can have without 3 midgets and a whip! Character stats made by your's truly!
I haven't found anyone with it and I haven't picked one up during the game.
Druids/Paladins/Rangers/Wizards as well as Clerics can get it at level 2. Maybe someone else in your party could scribe a scroll or craft it or and this is a longshot you could recruit an npc with it, I think Meleny is a Druidess?

shame on me
ok, shame on me. i hex-edited the savegame to adjust my clerics wisdom to 18, like i had done during creation. simply swapped the wisdom with the charisma. comes from the first ad&d rpg's like pool of radiance, curse of the azure bonds and so on...
thought the most important stat was charisma...
i simply don't want to start over for the fourth time...
think the spells will appear when leveling up... hope this is correct...
