D&D games

Post by Kevka »

Hopefully this one won't get deleted.

I've left out the option "my dog's breath smells like dog breath".

Hmm... I personally would've added an option for all encompassing, because many of us here do tend to do it all (myself included). It's far too large a list to really make one distinct choice, at least, I think.

Doesn't even include Planescape: Torment.

I haven't played that.

Does it use proper D&D rules? If not, it doesn't deserve to be on my poll.

Then your poll is somewhat flawed, in regards to using NWN. That game has so many modified rules, as well as rules they made up for the game. :o

But the basic rules are from 3rd edition AD&D

And if your going to be nip picky, then most of them don't deserve to be up there.

What I was saying, if planescape uses D&D rules, it should go up. If it's just some game using the same engine, it shouldn't.

And I've run out of room. You can only have ten different options.

____________

As the poll, Baldurs Gate 2 is wining so far.

I was expecting a bit more of a mix.

PS:T was devised by TSR originally as a PnP module, and does use D&D rules. I don't mean to be discourteous, but there are a huge number of RPG titles out there that many GB members have played. We enjoy the stuff. :)

Honestly, Kevka...

I'd vote, but I've only played 4 of those games on there, and I really like them all, and equally as much, to say the least. :o

My point was simply that if you want to include D&D titles, at least the best known and appreciated ones, Planescape: Torment fits the bill. It was a major release by Interplay, in addition. You'll find that if you ask people to select from a group of D&D games, it helps to put those games people play in the list. ;)

Don't misunderstand simple explaination for whining. All they were saying is that Planescape: Torment is a title that, by al means, deserves to be on the list, but was omitted for reasons of unfamiliarity.

I have added Planescape: Torment to the list.
