I have a serious dilemma..
I'm at the end battle and I've been reading up on the strategies to beat Malak and they all include using 'throw lightsaber' or 'drain' to kill the captured jedi's before Malak can use them..
Unfortunately I don't have the 'throw lightsaber' or 'drain' powers..
My force powers include:
Master Speed
Force Immunity
Improved Energy Resistance
Heal
Force Aura
Master Valor
My sp attacks are:
Master Flurry
Critical Strike
My character is 100% Light Side. I've saved in the middle of the battle just after Malak goes for his 3rd jedi refill and I'm low on health & med packs (reg med packs don't do squat)
Whats the best strategy for ME, to use in killing Malak? I got all the way to this guy without any help or walkthroughs and I swore to myself I wasn't going to need help and here I am stuck and it looks like I'm screwed..
I need help with Malak (responses may be spoilers)

I recomend not using and feats and having alot of life support packs and maxing out on hyper-whatever stims and echani battle stims as well as a yusanis' dueling sheild (100 points energy deflection wow) and to only use force stuff for heal and force imunity (he ALWAYS uses lightning)
Ps What does pure light look like i only got about 3/4 quarters up cuz i always increased rewards via dominate mind (i mean, light is so unprofitable, although a real jedi probably shouldn't care about money)

Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.

100% light side looks cool I guess. There are streams of glimmering light flowing behind my character like a waterfall.
OK, so you think I should go head-to-head with him until he uses up all the jedi's?
I'm already out of life support packs.. All I have are regular medpacks which don't do squat.. So I guess all I can do is run around and try to regain enough force points to heal myself and then get as far away from him as possible and use my special items and force immunity and then fight him until he runs and then keep doing the same thing? This will take forever.. I'll just keep saving in between his life refills..
I thought there may have been an easier way.. I really screwed myself here.. All my save points have been used up in this battle alone except one.. If I load that one save point it takes me way back to when I was still talking to the elders near the temple. Should I go back that far and try to redo this a little better?

I beat him the first time withought destroying the Jedi Batterys. Mindyou I had a ton of med packs.
Do you have grenades? adhisive are great to stick him in one spot while you stand back and though Thermal Detenators at him.
Use your stem packs!
Mines are a great thing too...remember they dont hurt you if you walk over them.....come to think of it you might be able to grenage the Jedi or mine them into the ground, it would take some doing but just try to keep ahead of Malak and keep you Force Immunity up.
I would try to save as much Force Points till the end, alls whats gona happen is your gona drain yourself to nothing and wont have anything to finish him off.
I criticaled him alot my first time though as well....had the Critical Threat Range x2 - Massive Criticals +2-12dmg on critical hit. Double light sabers Scoundral/Gardian..they great thing about that was the suprize attack the scoundral gets when the mob is stunned.
Now I found when i was in combat with him that he like stripping my force powers, he has Force Immunity as well as Force Breach and he will use Force Breach ALOT (force breach also drops Immunity) unless you stun him alot of the time you will have to keep an eye on you powers. Now if you keep putting Immunity up he should just keep casting Breach on you befor he uses anything else on you, if your lucky you can beat him inbetween rounds and get a stun on him.
I hope this helps a little, have fun!

there is no point in using force powers against him. you'd better have a great lightsaber crystal combo, as well as be a good fighter. u'll need plenty of medpacs as well. the only force power that WILL help you is drain life/death field. whenever malak goes to drain life from the lost jedi, run around and try to do the same. its a battle of endurance. he isnt really that difficult, its just the fact that he keeps healing himself because of his drainlife/deathfield power. the best force power in the game! so just keep attacking him, and try to drain the jedi he hasnt already gotten to.
I got a couple of my force powers to work on him. Obviously, not all the time but if I timed it right I could hit him with the right combo and knock some hp out of him. The two main force powers that worked were death field (like the other guy said) and force wave. The wave worked best when he got in close to me and used his power strike (you know, the jump move). It wouldn't stun him of course, but it would knock out some hp and a couple of times it slid him away from me. I had a soldier/consular character with very high wisdom attributes. I never had to use grenades, but I did drain life from Jedi when I got low on hp myself.

The last time I fought Darth Malak it was entirely easy. My character was a sith that wielded two lightsabers. Add in a 32 STR, Force Immunity, Master Speed, Master Flurry, and Yusani's Shield/Band I laughed at Malak. While Malak went to heal himself I just stood where I last defeated him and waited. When he came back we sparred for about 3-5 seconds before I knocked off enough of his hp for him to try to heal again, and I repeated the process. I was dissapointed at how easy the final battle was
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
