I have tried every line of conversation and done everything the walkthrough says to get this to work...
But when ever I first hit Tolub he accuses me of cheating and sets the whole bar on my one character.
Anyone know who to solve this?

Fists can cause injury, and will do so automatically
Monks fight with just hands and feet and do loads of lethal damage. But the radial menu includes specific non-lethal attack choices you're supposed to use on Tolub.
When you get into a fist fight using any other attack choice, it is STILL a level of "Lethal" unless it's on a Troll, in which case all injuries amount to "non-lethal" damages.

Or if you get attacked, just take em all out, hehe. Probably more xp that way anyway.

It may sound like I just like blaming them for everything... but!!
I had this exact same problem which magically went away when I uninstalled the Co8 patch. Leading me to believe that it was somehow caused by that.
Hmm, thats odd, were you using the newly updated CO8 Patch that was released after the Offical Patch or were you using the original CO8 Patch from before the Offical Patch? I ask because I've never came across any of the problems that you have using both the Offical Patch and the newest CO8 Patch. (Of course, I did a complete clean install in this order Game/Offical Patch/CO8 Patch.)

Is the character that you are using 'Buffed' via Magic in some fashion? I ask because I had the same problem as you when *before* the match I had my Cleric cast a spell on my Rouge/Fighter (The spell which gives you one extra Hit Point.). When I reloaded the game and fought without the supporting spells the everything worked as it was supposed to.
