Sandpeople Territory - FUBAR-ed

Post by R41Pilot »

Well,

I made it off Dantooine, So I went to Tatooine, im going lightside as well. I got the 3 sandperson suits, and equiped my party and made it to their enclave, where the guards reconize you, instead of fighting, I ran. And I remembered I never bought that droid, HK-47 translator...and personal combat droid ;-)

Anyway, I bought him the lightside way, spending all but 500 of my credits, *sigh*, and now I can make it to the Enclave without sandpeople and turrets attacking me, even while Im disguised and not even having the droid in my party, I need help, will I need to start over at the beginning of Tatooine or what?

Do you mean that when you reach the Enclave there are no sandpeople or turrets outside? Just walk on in! :D

Seriously, though, I think when you first approach the sand people fortress in your disguise you "turn off" the sandpeople exterior defenses and can just walk up to the door.

No, I had reached them the first time (got inside after the turrets, the sand people reconize you and your disguise is foiled), and I was wanting to go lightside, and I hadn't bought the droid, so it gave me the option of running, because I didn't want to fight and not earn any LS points.

Now when I returned, with my suits on and stuff, I was attacked by Sand People and the turrets killed me, I am hoping I dont have to start all the way over in this.

I play 2 games, lightside saved one, and a darkside one, I did the darkside game, its much easier just to kill people :)

But I want to go lightside as well, I hope I dont have to stoop to killing them all, I wanted a diplomatic solution, like the Duro suggested at the Czerka office.

Well, since this post isn't titled "Spoiler" I don't want to give away too much, but you certainly -can- go through the Sand People "light side" without killing any of them.

If you've already had your disguise broken and run away, though, you probably can't go -back- with the droid: the disguise won't work, I'd guess, once they see through it.

So, you probably would have to reload an earlier pre-disguise-foiled game and get the droid along with you.

I have the same annoying problem.
I go past the Sand People guarding the entrance in the Dune Sea undetected, using Sand People clothes, but when in Sand People Territory we are ambushed by "a small group of Sand People". I have no choice but to fight them - after which all Sand People and most of all the undestroyable turrets are attacking.
Have no idea how to solve this.
Aargh.

Well, as I understand it, if you put on your Sand People clothing and approach the camp, the turrets won't fire on you and you can enter... then the Sand Person sees through your disguise and takes you to see the Chief, you chat, and then you can walk about freely without disguises and none of them will attack you (unless you betray them and attack :>)

If, however, you DON'T talk to the "greeter" sand person and then go talk to the Chief... then I imagine you're still fair game to Sandpeople out in the wilds. And it may prevent you from -ever- seeing the Chief peacefully.

I had this bug once.....I cant remember how I fixed it but here it goes.
Head to the turrets with your party and have the HK-47 with you, if the turrets attack you beem back to the ebon hawk and drop the other 2 characters, then head back. Now at this point I cant remember what I did, but I think I went back to the ebon halk again and picked the same characters that I did befor...I noticed that Bastila didnt have any armor on so I re-equiped her reguler armor then went back to the sand teritory where I put the robes back on and walked in......
Try it and see :/
.......is it crazy in here or is it just me??

I sort of combined some tips and it worked.
First I killed a few Sand People to get other clothes.
Then I put on those, went past the guard and stripped before entering Dune Sea - and put them on again as soon as I entered.
No problems at all after that.
Tnx for the help.

yes, after you speak with the chief for the first time in your sand people outfits and SPOILER and

you go back to get the water from the Czerka guy, from then on, the game thinks you still have the disguise on. You are walking around in robes and when you talk to sand person, it goes "your disguise is recognized at close range blabla"
Another thing strange is that when that happens, ONLY that one person attacks you, and the rest just..stand there. Those guards guarding the entrance to the sand person enclave area didn't attack me in a group until i accidently had to kill the chieftan because i (oops?) opened a wicker basket and they attacked me. weaklings

Just browsed this, so I'm not sure if it's been mentioned. If you unequip your sand people robes, you will see in your body equip menu:

[Sand People Clothing]
[Sand People Clothing]
[Sand People Clothing]
[Sand People Clothing 11] (or some number)

They will recognize you and shoot you in the SP clothing you have already worn. Take your robes from the 11 (or whatever number, depending on how many remains you raided, not the three worn already.

I ran into the same problem though I am darkside, I don't think you gain DS or LS points either way you deal with this. I did not feel like fighting a whole bunch of turrets and sand people so I did it the peacful way and got no points either way. Well I entered the enclave the first time without HK as well though I had bought him so I just went out and changed my party around then re-entered. I had no problem with what you are talking about and it sounds like a glitch especially if they are seeing you in a disguise still after talking to the chieften because you are free to rome around SP terr after giving talking to him the first time and after giving him water vaperizers you are free to do as you please, just don't search their baskets and stuff cause they will attack you. Didn't your momma ever tell you to leave other people's property alone. Serves you right. Well that is my experience with that and I played it last night. Sounds like your in a glitch go back to the last save before and play it again.
Yeah Whatever!

Reload? nothx, im on Korriban now. It doesn't matter, the enclave was incredibally easy, and i got no dark side points anyway.

I just found it annoying that i had to waste 5 minutes killing all of them.

And yes, theres a wierd glitch where they think you're in a disguise when you are just walking around in robes.

Also another glitch is when at the cluster of guards guarding the entrance to the sand people enclave AREA (not their actualy building), and you talk to one, it will attack you, but all the rest will just stand there. I eventually got tired of killing them 1 by one for the graffi sticks so i just waited till they were all hostile after i got them to attack me by opening a basket.
