Does using Identify spell cost money?
I can't get Mona in Nulb to say boo to me since I got the orb from the thief, anybody know why?
I can't get anyone in the Boathouse in Nulb to talk to me, any ideas?
How can you get an NPC to drop things after they have overloaded themselves?

>>100 Gold- just as easy to let shopkeepers do it.
(strictly speaking in 3.5 it should be a black pearl worth at least 100GP)

>>You should be able to access their inventory but they don't always want to let go of certain items. My favorite way is to kill the npc, loot the corpse; quick easy and effective. You may want to fill the npcs inventory with rubbish as they tend to take the best items in the game which is really annoying.
To get NPC's to drop their excess stuff, i found that just trying to trade, some NPC's sell off their excess stuff (like the KING OF TROLLS does everytime). Another way is like the other guy said. Just kill them with friendly fire radius spells (so you didnt "actually" target them) and then take/drop what you need then go ressurect them, and they wont be the wiser. Works everytime except if you take certain Magic items from some of them, like Otis's magic longsword for example. Once i ressurected him and my fighter had his sword, he got a little nasty on me and i had his son (elmo, the drunk fighter) and they double teamed me. Had to go to a prev. save game and leave him his sword, hehe.
