Gloves of the Archmage in Halls of Light?

Gloves of the Archmage in Halls of Light?

On the walkthrough for RoMD it mentions that depending on the choice of the player it is possible to obtain either the Gloves of the Archmage or the Helm Cleaver from the Cult Stronghold of the Halls of Light. According to the walkthrough, if you allow the Orogs to have the Helm Cleaver, they will allow you to have the Gloves of the Archmage. The latter sounds more interesting to me. However, I have played through the stronghold sequence a bunch of times (kill the cult mages, possible fight the Orog champion). Have tried different options in conversing with the Orogs. Yet, I can't obtain or see any info on the Gloves. Only the Helm Cleaver is available. Am I missing something, or is the walkthrough misleading on the Gloves? :confused:
