Nether Scroll *spoiler*

Post by napoleon_n_rags »

I got the nether scroll right before i went to the Under Dark, and simply forgot about it. And now after beating the game and never getting anything very powerful from it, because Edwin never used it or shared it. Im playin throne of bhaal and i wonder if i can use it there or someone could atleast explain what happens when u do us it in bg2

First of all, you need to understand that Edwin thinks the scroll belongs to him. "The just and unjust alike will all fear the overwhelming power of Edwin Odesseiron and his Nether scroll!"

Ahem.

Anyway, when you find the Nether Scroll, Edwin will insist that he is the only one who can read it. If you let Edwin keep the scroll and study it, amazing things will happen. This only takes place if you stay in Athkatla and let him study it for about a week (I can't remember exactly how long). He can't study it inside a dungeon, so I guess you just need to hang around town. If you have already finished Shadows of Amn, you won't be able to use the scroll in Throne of Bhaal. Sorry. :(

I would really hate to spoil it for you by telling you what the Nether Scroll does. You're one of the few players on Earth who doesn't already know what happens. It's such a wonderful surprise, it's almost worth replaying Shadows of Amn in its entirety just to see what happens. Unfortunately, I'm sure that someone here will tell you exactly what it does before you see it for yourself. If that's what you want, then go ahead and ask for it.
