No Reward For Illithium - Spoiler

I`ve taken the illithium off of Neb (and his head).
When I gave the artist the illithium, he confirmed he would do the painting - sculpture.
When I went back to the Temple of Helm, they gave me a blank. Do I not get a reward for this quest?

You might have to wait awhile give the artist time to finish his work.

You shouldn't have to wait. Are you sure you talked to the right person in the temple? It isn't the guy on the throne but the fellow to the SE of him. Otherwise it sounds like something is wrong with your game. I have never encountered a problem with this quest.

No need to wait- see the man as JoC suggested making sure you PC talks to him- he will tell you that anyway...

I got there in the end. I was talking to the guy who gave me the quest. It`s another one who rewards you.

Although the best reward for you would have been to keep the illitium and use it in a better way (less exp. but more useful).

trust me not to think of the obvious, i made the same mistake myself except i just went and talked to every damm person in the temple until i found the rite guy.

Thought about going that way but it wont really have suited anyone in my party.

Re the other reward - I did consider it but my party have so many super weapons that I decided to go for the increased experience points.

Yeah but the mace is considered a +5 weapon... its basically Runehammer without the THAC0 bonus of +3 more (If you dunno what I'm talking about, all for the good, don't want to spoil too many things)
