Pc or XBox???

Post by Andrew Rei »

Ok I wondering about Morrowind for PC. Does it take a very very fast computer to play? Because I've heard that it takes a good computer to be able to play. My computer is able to play games like "Mafia" so do you think its fast enough? (If you don't know what "Mafia" is then its just like GTA3 but wit better graphics)

What are your computer specs?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

As a very rough guesstimate, you'll probably be able to play it with better graphic performance on your PC. From what I hear, the X-Box also has framerate problems. Moreover, there's an excellent framerate optimizer utility available (just search for "morrowind fps") for the PC version. Plus last I heard you run a big risk of breaking (parts of) your game on the X-Box due to lack of a cheat console to fix bugs (which happen!).

Get more Ram. And what is your video card? If it's anything less than a 64 meg it won't play. It plays on my 1.2Ghz, so you should be safe there, but you *need* more ram.

I run the game on a GeForce 2 MX 100 and it's just a 32 meg card. I don't have any problems save for a stuttering in the opening movie scene, but the gameplay is smooth enough.

You should be good to go then. I started playing the game with an 800MHz/GeForce2 GTS/512 MBRAM system. I only had problems with the begining movies. I went out to Best Buy and purchased a new card (Radeon 7500) for $80 a year ago. Everything worked fine. :)
