NPC loot merchant
NPC loot merchant
there was a thread here I think about a merchant you could goto that your NPCs wouldn't sell their loot too and while in the screen I think you could remove the items from them that you wanted... does anyone remember which merchant that was?
No i dont know the merchant you are refering to , but i do hate when your NPC's dump all their stuff for cash, and many times it is things you didnt want them to sell.
What i found works great, is i have all the NPC's spots filled with potions and other minor things. This is after i have killed them with friendly fire or let them be killed, where you can then take all their money they have looted from your fighting. Once you take all their money, fill up their spots in their inventory, then raised dead (spell or taken them to church and paid for them to be ressurected), then from this point on, everytime you loot an enemy, your NPC CANT take any share in the loot as it will say "i have no room for that", and bingo!!! You'll find that they will leave a pile of gold at their feet that you can then go and gather up. Just remember, if you go back to trade goods from this point on, just have your npc drop all the stuff you gave him BEFORE you talk to a trader, and when you are done, just PICK up the stuff and put back in the NPC's inventory.
I only seem to need to worry about the King of Trolls, and the Hill Giant selling off my stuff, since Otis, and Elmo, and Burne dont seem to do that.
Hope you liked my little trick. I now never share a dime with my NPC's since they have no where to put my money. HEHE.

NPC Merchant...
I grew inquisitive....because of your statement...so I decided to search for that NPC...
I got Scorpp ( Deity-killer and Demon-Slayer) in my party, but I think he is growing far too over confident and lately he keeps the best of the loot!!!
He got a +4 Int Circlet and I can just let him have it...
I tried pickpocket..the only thing I got was a Spike Club on the head of my Rogue...
Yet I decided to trick him to sell the item and then I could buy it back...(o.k. not too bright but the only way I figured out)
So I went to pay a visit to my old pal Calmert (the Cleric of St. Curtbert) since he is the only one who accepts that Hill Giant in my party...
When I was selling my goods I remmembered this post and decided to give it a try....I clicked the circlet ....dragged it to the nearest PC ( a Neutral Evil Druid if it means something ) and dropped it...
Surprise....I kept it....and worked just fine...
So go ahead and try it...
Poor Scorpp, not only I use it to bash enemies and evil creatures....no he has became a burden beast....carrying all the heavy loot....jer,jer,jer,jer ^_^
