Can't unequip items?

Okay.. I've been playing this for couple days, got to chapter 2, and saved it last night. This morning, I loaded up, and was about to buy some new equipment, when it turned out I couldn't unequip the stuff I've got on. When I try, it takes a transparent icon of it and puts in in the inventory, and leaves the same in the slot I took it from. If I close the inventory and reopen it, the transparent icons are gone and the item I was trying to remove is back where it was originally, only I can't right-click on it or drag it anymore.

I tried patching to the newest version, but that didn't help either.
Any ideas?

is the game paused?

you havent accidentally hit pause (the space bar) have you?

This is usually the behaviour you get if rearranging your inventory whilst paused. as soon as you unpause all the transparent items become solid.

No, it's not that. It's definitely not paused.

I've done that a few times, so I tried pausing, and unpausing again. I tried resting, and trying again. I've tried shutting down the program and starting it again.
