Drows vs surfacers

I am thinking of a party of 6 same class, same race, probably same stats...

Halfing Assasins taking out everything with backstabs?

Elven Sorceress bombarding spells left, right and center.

Human Monks beating the crap out of people to protect there monastery/temple.

I think that would be interesting...

I would like to lead to surfacers army (elves, humans, dwarves) and make some small desolation in underdark. Protagonist = mage/cleric with these wonderful 9th and 7th spells to kick more dark asses.
