TOSC - Warders

Post by avatorbob »

I need some ideas how to defeat the 4 warders after solving all the riddles. I keep getting my butt kicked.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

They're a tough bunch all right.

Could you tell us something about your party? What level they are? It'll help us give you some advice.

In general: I concentrated on one warden at a time. First I buffed up, resist fear, speed, protecton from evil, etc. I put my party in the room north of the wardens and armed them with missileweapons. Then I send in a lot of summons.
I took out the mage first (before he could cast dire charm)with arrows and spells, while the summons kept the others busy.
Then I took the rest of them out, one by one. None of my partymembers went melee with them, one of the wardens is one heck of a powerful fighter so I kept my distance.

Coot, I appreciate your help.
My party consists of 1) level 7 Paladin
2)level 7 Ranger
3)level 8 Thief
4)level 7 Cleric
5)level 6 fighter, level 7 Druid
6)level 8 Invoker

When you say a room "north", do you remember which one?

Thanks for your assistance, and anything else you can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible to pull them to you one at the time, in wich case they become way easier.

Otherwise use some monster summoning to keep them bussy while concentrating on one at the time.

Also potions, buffs and wands will be put to good use.

I dont remember if Warders are immune to magic. If they are not then I recommend you send your cleric goes there and activates the Warders, casts Sanctuary and then you just keep hammering them with fireballs and cloudkills.
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.
