Abominable Snowman

Post by harbourboy »

No doubt other people have seen this before, but I was surprised to find a 'secret' path in Chapter 3 that leads to a fight with an Abominable Snowman. It doesn't seem to have any relevance to the story at all and you can certainly finish the game without meeting him. It almost seems like an 'easter egg' as if the developers put him there for a joke.

Are there an other 'easter egg' like things in the game?

HarbourBoy, Spoiler me on this, I never heard anything about an abominable Snowman. Are you sure it was not a Yeti, (who I refer to as Leperous Yeti's).. Please fill me in.

SPOILER . . . .

In Chapter 3 just after you have been through the barbarian stone boulder gate and before you head north to meet the dragons, there is a very hidden path up into the cliffs to the west. You can only find it by waving your cursor around until you find the spot where it changes to the symbol which means you've found somewhere you can go. Follow the cliff top path all the way along and at the end is an abominable snowman (yes - he's definitely related to the Yetis). After you kill him, he has a few items of interesting treasure and you get some XP but mostly it's just very odd.

the truth

habourboy speaks the truth...rather interesting little fight...I fought the snowman 4 times and I got the same treasure each time so it isnt random treasure...'flamekiller' with a +1 to attack and damage and 1/- cold resistence...for the trouble I went through it wasnt worth the effort for the prize...didnt even get any experience, must have been that my characters are too high for experience...
To err is human, but to really screw up you need a computer
