Put two of your people on the dark jedi, and the third right on a guard--or two, if you can get them close enough. Remember, those grenades do damage to them, just as they do so, to you. Have plenty of advanced medpacs handy.

Try using stasis field on them -- very easy and effective, since it stuns multiple enemies. If you don't have that power, make sure you pre-buff properly, use speed, etc.

The game...how shall I put this...? Cheats at that point. :D No matter how powerful you are, Malak will always be able to summon sufficient physical reserves to retreat, and ignore the strongest force attacks. It's to be expected, I guess. The game isn't over. ;)

You can't win. If you make yourself godlike, I suspect Malak will still retreat before you, and *still* be able to shrug off your powers. The game literally doesn't have the code to let you win, there. :)

Of course you can't beat him, that would cut the game at 3/4th...
Why would you want to do that?

how could i possibly know that the game is 3/4. all game long i'm hunting malak, now i'm encountering him so the most logic thing to do is to kill him wouldn't it..
anyway i'm now past malak on korriban
lookin' for my last star map in the Tomb of Naga Sadow

tnx for the hints so far
and may the force be with you ;-)

What's your location? Are you still on the Leviathan? Malak is beatable in the warrens leading to the Ebon Hawk ... just not killable. I had Malak driven off with only some Critical Strikes and dual-wielded lightsabers with nothing fancier than a Jenruax crystal embedded in the primary. MINOR SPOILER: (He fell far too easily, but then was a pansy with his uber-stun ... I wanted to say "To hell with you, Carth, I can take this fool!") Make sure that you're wearing the heftiest goodies you have ... dexterity boosters and Master robes are a MUST. Knight and Master Speed are really helpful with the extra attacks.

As a public service announcement, make sure that Carth has a blaster in hand for the Leviathan Hanger level. If you don't, the game will provide one for him for a The Empire Strikes Back scene ... which is cool if you want another "Carth's Blaster," but it really sucks vacuum when he's handling a really powerful and unique bladed weapon...
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious!

I was having trouble with this too: the "tilde" or "~" key wasn't doing the job for me (maybe b/c i use a japanese keyboard), but the "`" key ("backward quotation mark" or whatever it's called) worked. It's either of those two, I believe...

Malak was a pushover the first time I met him ... I hit him real hard, fast and his VPs were down to less than 10%. However, since he cannot die in that encounter, he freezes you and the plot goes on. Not a fair battle by any means, but not really hard :D I still have to finish the game and see what he's got in store for the final battle (I hear it's much more challenging)...
