Please help

I keep getting an error message while trying to fight Relmar in the spirit realm chapter2
error is
NWMain has caused an error in NWMAIN.EXE.
NWMain will now close
I have rebooted many times and same thing happens,
I have the spirit antidote etc, do i actually have to talk and fight Relmar or can i ignore him

Sorry to repost but i wanted to show you error i was getting

Please help as im getting so annoyed with game

If you have the antidote and his journal (found in some rubble in the spirit realm) I doubt you need to talk to him.
Try not talking to him and see what happens.

I'm closeing the other thread regarding this problem you made - you only need one thread for it.

Sorry about reposting, i just wanted to show what my error message was, I have the antidote but not journal, i read walkthru it says he drops it when he is defeated, i have no idea what games problem is, i can get all way thru talking with him then at end or just as he attacks game closes

do i need to download that horrid 75mb critical repair thing?
any help greatly appreciated

A thing you could do - would be to use the console to spawn in the journal, so you don't have to deal with Relmar.

That might work.

I have no idea what you mean let alone how to respawn, but i need the journal to give to that lady in Port Llast dont i?

It is possible to use the console in the game to spawn in items.
You could use it to spawn in Relmars journal and thus you could avoid haveing to kill him - if interacting with him crashes your game.
Would be a possible workaround for it.

ALthough I think that the crashing is just symptomatic for some larger problem - but it would be a way to move on with the game.

Enter the console
Usually the button just left of backspace, on my keyboard it is ` - could also be ~ on other; or type ## infront of a command in the "chatbox" - otherwise check the official NwN pages for information about entering the console.

Enter the command:
DebugMode 1

Then reenter the console and enter the command:
dm_spawnitem M2Q2GJRNRELMAR
(don't think the item tag is case-sensitive, so low casewould likely work also: m2q2gjrnrelmar - it usually works in high and low case)
This will cause the journal (or generally - item with written tag) to spawn at your mouse cursors location.

Then reenter console, and turn off debugmode with the command:
DebugMode 0

U dont need the journal to continue!

There are 3 items that counts for the quest.
If u cant get Relmar's, just use charwood journal and Vordoc's letter. That should get u into Luskan.
To encounter Vordoc, u need to have killed soloman and neva, and enter the inns often-- the one in town and green griffin inn-- every time after u finish a major quest.
u can also get more details from the walkthrough.
