early game questions (SPOILERS)

early game questions

Couple of questions:

1). What is the trigger to make the Windspear Hills appear on my map? I want to get that quest done but it hasn't lit up yet.

2). For the tanner quest - after I do the bark/berry thing with Rose and go see the tanner, what is my next step. I appearently don't have enough proof but where do I get it?

3). What is the trigger for Suldanessar?

4). When I get to Spellhold, do I want to go to the Underdark or go on the ship (after I get Imoen)? If I go on the ship, can I do the Underdark later?

1) Talk to Jierdan Fierkraag in the Copper Coronet.

2) Talk to Rampah (north west of Rose), he'll give you some piece of elephant leather. Then talk to the merchant near Rose. Acutally you can attack the Tanner without any proof, the corpses you find downstairs are proof enough.

3) You can't enter Suldanessalar until the very end of the game, I won't spoil you too much here

4) After Spellhold you can choose between the direct portal to the underdark or the ship. If you take the ship you'll get to the Sahuagin City before you can enter the Underdark. If you take the portal you'll miss some items and experience, so I suggest you take the ship

One last advice, if you post a thread that contains spoilers please put "Spoiler" in the thread title so that others who don't want to be spoiled can avoid your thread

Thanks! I have one game (Skald) where I am at spellhold and have to make the boat/underdark decision and in that game I couldn't get the Windspear Hills to light up so I started another game (monk) and had the same problem. I wasn't sure if it was becasue I had missed something in the tanner quest. I just haven't talked to the correct person.

I get the spoiler thing now and will use it in the header when appropriate.

Oh, aren't I supposed to get some water to clean the pool of blood where the mace is (Bodhi's Lair) from the elves at Suldanessar? How can that be if I have to deal with Bodhi in her lair prior to getting to the elves? What I have done in the past is just get the mace out of the blood.

There is a elven camp at the exit of the underdark, those elves will supply you with some stakes and holy water.
