Really, the game is pretty easy at the "normal" level of difficulty. Except for the final battle, it's pretty tough to lose without doing something dumb.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Well, at least it hasn't been made. However easy the game, there will always be some powergamers amongst us who would want to be super-powerful
The game is still fresh new, nothing yet from the mod community ~~ it's a different engine and all.
For now, you can level yourself up early on, if you feel like it, using the "cheat" console.

That's part of the trade-off, Master Shi. You have to choose a balance between your "pre-Jedi life" and your "Jedi life" ... you develop skills as one of the three base classes, but you aren't going to complete its path, because the new route of Jedi became available. If you make your choices carefully, you can easily have the most powerful character in the game, without having to resort to cheats and hacks. Jolee and Canderous might be able to reach Level 20 in their respective classes, but your PC will pick up some nasty tricks that Juhani or any other Jedi won't necessarily have (Uncanny Dodge or Scoundrel's Luck, both of which boost your defense, as well as Implants or Sneak Attack), and by mastering the force (which any PC can get to Master Level ... i.e., a Level 12 Jedi), you gain powers that far outstrip Mission and Carth, even when they fulfill their career paths.
There is no need to exceed 20 total levels, and you only need to follow one discipline of saber fighting (Critical, Flurry, or Power) to have the "cool" feats. If you want to experience everything, you can always replay the game in a different manner. There are 18 possible class mixes (9 each for the Jedi and Dark Jedi paths), and 126 possible combinations in total of classes and levels (8/12 Jedi Soldier/Guardian, 5/15 Dark Jedi Scout/Counselor, and 2/18 Jedi Scoundrel/Sentinel are but three examples). Instead of a hack and a steroid-inflated uber-character, try replaying and seeing how different paths lead to different solutions. That's the depth and richness of the RPG experience.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious!
