Does HK-47 have a side mission?

Post by Yoozd »

I have all the starmaps, and then apparently a new set of sidequest becomes availeble. I allready finished Jagi for canderous, and some Twi'lek that killed her race for Juhani.

But i wonder if HK-47 has a sidequest. In a previous savegame i finished repairing him (So that means that there could be a side quest), but i used the wrong party members for the Star Forge, so i had to go back quite some hours. :(

So.. is there an extra quest for HK-47? Or for the others (Like missions brother). :)

He doesn't technically have a Side Mission, but repairing him is the closest thing.

Spoiler

But he talks about his memories locked a away in his core and the right stimulus might trigger it.

And Missions brother? Is he gonna show up? :)

Spoiler:

The memories still locked in his core are part of the main storyline and happens on its own. Once this happens, he is "repaired" whether or not you repaired him.

As for Mission's brother, that is her side mission, and he does eventually show up.

He appears in the Sand People's enclave as a prisoner after you've heard about him from Lena and made further inquiries at the Czerka office.

You should probably talk to your NPCs more. ;) Spoiler:

Lena is the (ex)girlfriend of Mission's brother Griff. Since you have missed the trigger (meeting Lena) before killing everyone at the Sand People's enclave, you won't meet him though.

Spolier regarding HK-47 wanted! Question:

When will HK-47 get the full upgrade by himself (without you repairing him, that is)? From his dialogue, it seems evident that will happen eventually... (I kind of regret putting so many points into repair for his sake, especially starting off as a Scoundrel and having to pay the double amount, when I at the very least could have saved the points and put them there after going Jedi...)

Answer: That's probably a bigger spoiler than you'd bargained for, so I'll keep it non-specific and say that HK-47's core will fully reinitialise after the Leviathan sequence, which occurs after you obtain the fourth star map.

Thanks! :) That's a pretty long way from where I am, so now I don't feel so bad about my skill points in Repair.

It's worth repairing HK-47 : he'll gain bonuses he can't have if he recovered his memory by himself.

Really? Maybe you could specify under my post "HK's stats"?

Oh, I didn't realise you were expecting all of his bonuses to come through automatically when his core is restored. They don't. You have to manually repair him if you want his bonuses. Furthermore, you can't manually repair him after the Leviathan - so if you want all of those bonuses, you'd better have a way of getting 17 repair before you pick up your fourth star map.

If your read post 4 (Darth Anubis) of this thread you certainly get that impression...

As for getting the 17, I saved most of the SP for my Scoundrel until I became a Consular, then raised it up to max. With a + 2 due to Int, I had 17 soon after purchasing him (doing Tatooine directly after Dantooine). However, as I had not thought of this strategy before yesterday (being stupid and investing my SP in a cross-class skill I didn't need at that point in the game), I had to CLUA everything correct. BTW, I hate that cheating message on my saved files...

I"ve repaired HK-47 only 3 times and I don't remember the bonuses (I don't have my save game where I've done it any more).
