Stuck on Quest to free Sunry Plz Help

Post by Funkymushroom »

If you havent done the quest you might not want to read on....

I am having some problems persuading Firith Me and Ignus. Basically my character went all healing.. But just last level i starting putting points into persuade. Any ideas on how much persuade i would need for this. I tried giving them both money but no go. Btw this is on the PC version patched to the latest version.

Plz help,

Try reloading to your past level up and choosing Affect mind for your force power.

Persuade points are like any other they only raise the level for every 4 points you spend on the skill. If you have 3 or less, you are SOL. Also, it depends on where your Charisma attribute is set. A low char. will mean you need more persuade skill points

Persuade doesn't work like that at all... your skill level is added to a roll which is then compared to the difficulty class involved in persuading the NPC you're talking to. The DC can be any number, not merely factors of four. The only skills with a standard success increment of four points are computer use and repair.

I think affect mind works on Firith Me. For Ignus you'll need dominate mind. But you don't need Ignus' testemony to win the trial anyway.

Any ideas why you get DP when you Force Persuade Firith Me to reveal the occupation of the Sith woman? I find that extremely strange. On the other hand, you can Force Persuade Ingus to testimony falsely without this occurring...

Yes, one of a number of similarly ludicrous moral inconsistencies.

Sorry, my bad, I thought all the skills were set up that way

Questions about Sunry Trial

Hey guys,

Having some lingering problems with the Sunry murder trial in attempting to have him acquitted. Firstly, although I Force Persuade Ignus to falsely testify that Sunry left before the shots were fired, he appears to regain his mental capacities or something and testifies against Sunry. This is despite my journal telling me that I have convinced Ignus to see things my way.

Second - now I know the walkthrough answers this but just to clarify, there's really not one scrap of evidence in the Sith base despite that Deep Throat character informing me otherwise? What's with the evidence suggesting a Sith frame-up? I know about the datapad in the Republic base but I'm really only interested in getting Sunry off, so to speak.

Thirdly, is there anyway to get an acquittal without having to Force Persuade Firith and garnering DSP? I'm about 2 Hail Marys away from LSM. Thanks for you help people.
Would you like to play another game?

It's not really an inconsistency. Force Persuade should not be used for personal gain; if the person doesn't want to tell you - they don't want to tell you, and if you can't get it out of them through regular conversation/persuasion, then though luck - as a Jedi you're still not allowed to dominate their mind.

Disekshonal - I've had that same thing with Ignus (persuaded, but he testified against me anyway). As for the Sith base - there really is nothing to be found there. The recording from the Republic embassy is all you need. If you use regular Persuade on Firith Me instead of Force Persuade, you'll gain no DS points (of course, your Persuade skill should be high enough, can't say how much exactly, though). I think bribing him works too.

Anyway, whatever the verdict after the trial, you'll gain no LS/DS points whatsoever. Freeing him yields the most XP and discounts in stores, but I've actually found that finding him guilty more satisfying (he did kill her, after all).
