Where is Anomen now?

Post by Devilfish »

I have done Anomen’s Knight quest and he became Sir Anomen for deciding not to attack Saerk etc. My main character is female and I think I succeeded in the romance as they slept together twice etc. but upon entering trademeet, Anomen insisted on leaving the party to return to Amn for his revenge! I checked the variables in ShadowKeeper – anomenromanceactive is still 2 (good) and lovetalk is 37 (last?) so I continued all the Trademeet quests without Anomen.

Now I have returned to Amn and I cannot find him! He is not in Saerk’s palace (a servant says that he came by and killed Saerk though). He is not in the Copper Coronet or in the Knight’s Hall in the Temple District. Does anyone know where he is? Thanks.

Did you check the second floor of Saerk's house? Because that's where he goes after taking off when he get the letter.
Yes, 37 is the last LoveTalk for Shadow of Amn, the romance will continue in Throne of Bhaal.

Edit - Ok, I might have found your problem, you have only 4 days to get to Saerk's place after Anomen leave the party, before he kill Seark.

Yes I went to Saerk's palace - Anomen wasn't on either floor - there was just a servant who told me Anomen had been, killed Saerk and gone! Yes, this was probably after 4 days since he left as I did all the Trademeet and Druid Grove Quests before returning to the main city.

Oh well - if the romance is finished I guess I have finished with Anomen. Shame, he was a strong character in both weapon and spell combat after his Knighthood. Is there no way to get him back? I don't really want to edit anything to cheat - but is there something later I may miss if I don't have Anomen (he is (was?) the romance of my main character 'Erica the Kensai/Mage')

If not I guess I can let Edwin back in the party to see if he can translate his Nether Scroll!

Have you searched for this problem on this board? I'm certain it has been discussed before. IIRC, you have to run after him *immediately* in order to get him back. He'a a great NPC so give it a try.

I don't think there is anything about this in our Anomen topic, but it sounds like there was a time limit and you exceeded it. :( Unless you have an earlier save, it doesn't sound like there's much you can do without cheating.

If you didn't go there before the 4 days limit is over, then Anomen is gone for good, maybe he can be summon in ToB, not sure. There is no way of getting him back without cheating.

I sorted it! I simply removed the timer!

After Anomen leaves the Global Variable ANOMENSAERKTIMER is created and I guess the number alongside is time. I Simply removed Global Variable ANOMENSAERKTIMER and its value in ShadowKeeper, and then it seems no matter how long I take as soon as I go to Saerk's Palace I can meet up with Anomen again.

Of course, as I found, you still have to give careful replies to him when he confronts Saerk to get him to rejoin your party... :D :p   ;)

Still trying to have people to join your Anomen cult, hey Georgi.... :)
A little off topic, Anomen romance will have a nice ending in ToB (since BIS/Bio forums are full of spoilers) and he is worth to have in the party (I am unsure if he still is the more powerful cleric in the game, besides a PC cleric that is, since even as Sir Anomen he still have his cleric spells as Lawful neutral and Throne of Bhaal could have changed that).
- Waterdeep city constrution.

- Shadowdale low level adventure module.

- Rashmare /Thay high level adventure module.
