Hoarding feats
I've seen it suggested elsewhere that you might hoard feats during level-ups, so your NPC can get more force powers when (and assuming) they join the Jedi Merry Band. Any opinions on whether to do this, and if so, when?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Hoarding Feats is a useless idea.
For one thing, You automatically get your feats during level ups as a jedi. The only feats you may want to work on would be lightsaber profiency if you are not a guardian. So don't worry about it. Your jedi feats are automatically given to you as you progress through the game.
Consentrate on other feats like duel-wielding or dueling, toughness and conditioning.

Dirvish, would you mind putting SPOILER at the top of something like that, then dropping down a bunch of lines before writing it? Damn! I really, really didn't want to know that last line you wrote! It's definitely the kind of plot thing I wanted to find out, myself, in time.

Apologies accepted. Now I only wish I knew a good mage spell to wipe your info from my mind.
One the ways many people use is this:
SPOILER FOLLOWS...

With the answer down here.
Another that's caught on is to place the answer in black on black, using vB code, so that you need to highlight where the answer will be if you want to read it. Up to you.

Those feat I've listed above are pretty good to have for any character class. My only recommendation is if you are playing a scout (as I did) don't leave Taris until you are 8 th level. You automatically get the third implant feat which is great to have without spending for it later.

Imho It's a waist to level to 8 as a non-jedi, since you only can reach level 20 (the sum of non-jedi and jedi-level)
Also you don'T get a feat to spend as scout at level 8, so implant level 3 is not realy free...
BTW it's impossible to hoard feats (at least at the pc-version)
You CAN hoard level-ups, however.
BTW2: every jedi gets lightsaber-profiency at first level. Without it, you can't wield a lightsaber...
About spoilers:
1st: Almost all the abough stuff is mentioned in the handbook, so I don't consider this as spoilers...
2nd: I've tried to write black on black, but it didn't work. The VB-code didn't work (in the preview) and the colors, you can choose at the top don't include black...
But fable is right about spoilers, and I will use the method, he mentioned.

Hoarding Feats is dumb.... since Feats are required to be taken, you would have to not level up. Not leveling up until being a Jedi is only useful when you want to become a super-Consular, in which case the beginning will be very hard and the rest will eventually be very easy, until you meet up with Malak and probably get slaughtered unless you are good enough.

Colors...
Black on black works ... you just have to write COLOR=black in the code brackets, rather than trying to choose it from the drop down list. If you need to use the color selection utility, choose any color and then delete the color name and replace it with "black"...
See? Black text begins below:
This text is hidden in the black-on-black, and you have to highlight it to see it ... unless it's a dark gray-paneled pane, when it appears as almost invisible text.
That wasn't all that hard.
For the rest of the thought...
The concept behind hoarding feats is not a stupid idea ... it's just one that shouldn't be allowed because feats are intimately tied to the gaining of levels. For any of you who say that you don't need the feats because they're given to you for free, well that's just wrong. The better-than-proficiency weapon feats (including lightsaber) are never granted automatically, and for those of us who like having our "wearing every Jedi-appropriate feat" Jedi Knights, you actually have to spend two more Feats to get the better Jedi Defense levels. Sure, they're underpowered, and only give better BBD rolls, but it's the principle of the thing.
By the way, Fable, the mage spell you're looking for is a first-level spell called Imbibe Bacardi 151. Cast that one several times and you won't remember anything...

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious!

Now I'm trying to figure out why anybody would go back 4 months to pull out my old thread, and answer a question that has been answered so often, in so many threads, since.
