Why do you think I'd ask if I already had got
the manual?! I *may* be able to buy the game this week, and that's only cause I know a reseller that orders directly from God knows where.

So, do you get them at a certain level? Can you pick several at the same time? If you start a new game, is it possible to get them before continuing into the expansion? I would very much appreciate your help here, as I'm planning a new party.

I believe you get the abilities after you pass about 3000000 xp, so even if you're a multi/dual class, you'll still get the abilities. Yes you do get them before actually begin the ToB part, if you start a new game.

Thanks Sabre!

You know how many you get? I'm really looking forward to the Enhanced Bard Song and the Use Any Item. The Tranform to Elemental seems great, too.

Ahh. And in the case of the character that duals after earning 3 mil? Do they get a new high level ability on attaining first level in their new class?

I have absolutely no idea if they get it or not, haven't actually got ToB yet. My answers were obtained by reading posts from this forum.

From the manual it looks like you get one each time you level up starting at level 20. Mages and Sorcerers max out at level 31 and clerics at 40. So it seems a Cleric will have about 9 more special ability slots than Mages. Is this right?
