Loosing HP's

Post by Sir Markki »

I played throne of bhaal with my friends couple of days ago. But then my friend and i lost hp's permanently, just like that. Nothing hit us or cast spells on us. I lost about 8hp and my friend 30hp. My friend is cleric / mage and has about 33 hp's now. Any idea why this happened ?

1st - Have you been cursed by the deck of many things?
2nd - Have you sacrificed constitution?
3rd - Where are you in the game?
4th - Have you changed equipment?

Are you mages whose familiars died? That will lose you 1 pt of constitution, which could reduce your HP accordingly.

Are you and your friends insomniacs? If you choose not to sleep for a really long time, you start loosing HP perminently. I tried going through BG without sleeping at all, and I eventually died while on a travel between BG and Durlag's tower, so sad...

Really?

Hmm I'll have to start sleeping more often.

Yeah, when I arrived at the destination, I immediately died. :( I noticed that my HP was zero just before the death movie started. I can only assume that they kept that little tidbit in the game to keep people from not resting.

i'm not sure if this really applies to you, but if you play multiplayer and set the player setting in the options to force the pre-existing characters to start all over from scratch (ie. without experience and equipment) then the computer will roll your hit points all over again. this only applies if you're playing at normal or harder difficulty level, though.

hope this helps.
