the problem with helseth(possible spoiler)

Is anybody else suspicious of helseth?! I know the quests have you helping him, but I still feel like the bastard is guilty. I know when you talk the lady at the Lethan manor, one of the options is to vow to avenge the dead king. Has anyone done it? I have finished the almalexia quest, so I'm not worried about destroying the story thread. I would just rather kill him or prove him guilty within the context of a quest. Can I help the Common Tongue guys? Any help would be appreciated, but in a few days, I will kill him, regardless.

When in doubt....pull you sword out. That has been my motto since i started the game. You can always reload and try again....what could it hurt....right....

Yeah, I did that last night. The whole bribe, taunt, bribe, taunt thing. Even then, no one knew it was me, and no one attacked me. I ended up loading the save game again and just leaving. I was just trying to find some hard evidence against him, besides the common tongue and the fact that he "accidentally" tried to kill me. Looks like he's safe for now.
