Chrystal bonus and saving throw question....
Hi everyone!
I've never really played "real" RPGs (don't know if diablo2 counts...) so kotor or rather some of its aspects are new for me. Please if anyone has a good explanation of - what a saving throw is, and what does it affect- and about chrystal bonuses, specifically about the 1d6/1d8/2d6... bonus stat. I'm doing my 3rd character and I wolud really like to clear these "blind" spots. Thank you in advance!!

1d6 means 1 roll with a 6-sided dice. So you get a random number of 1 to 6.
2d6 means 2 rolls on a 6sided dice, so you get between 2 and 12.
(this is most of the times done for dor instance damage)
(a nice trick to calculate avarage damage is to add the highest possible roll and the lowest, and devide that by 2)
A saving trow is a roll with the dice (20-sides) to see if you get effected by it.
For example you can get halfdamge from grenades with reflex trows
Can get saved from insanity with will saves
and uneffected by poison with fortitude.
Just get them as high as possible.
