boots me out

hey, i'm having problems with the game always shutting down one me. i'm level 8, in the second level of the temple, and about to start in on exploring the fire part of it, but every second or third time i click the mouse to send my party across the screen, the game freezes for a split second, shuts down, and sends me to the desktop. i'm wondering if this is a universal problem or just one with my disk. i have the patch installed if that's any help at all. thanks for any suggestions you might have.

I've also had a real slow down of my system in this zone (fire temple, 2nd level under).
I guess its either because its heavyly scripted or because of the graphical resource needed.
Try reducing the graphical ressource (option: low down the sliders, uncheck the boxes) - in my case i gained a few fps.
Once the encounter there was over, even if this zone kept being slower, it was easier to navigate.
