Best Weapon

Post by *18Azrael81* »

What is everyone's opinion on the best weapon, and where can i get it, Please, if its part of the main Bloodmoon, morrowind, or tribunal quests, don't say those, but other optional quests or just amazing finds. I'm using Goldbrand, which is ok, but i want better.
:D Thanks :D

Search old threads

This subject has been beaten to death here in the old threads. Just do a search on your topic and read the old posts. I don't think there is one "best" weapon. There are many good weapons each with there strengths and drawbacks. Everyone has their own opinions on what is the best. I agree though that Goldbrand is nice but I never use it. The only legendary weapon that I routinely use is Skullcrusher and on rare occassions some of the daggers. Other than that I enchant different weapons to have special uses.

Hey, I'm the new guy...

I like the Daedric dai-katana as a longsword and the Daedric wakazashi as a shortsword. But my only problem with them is that they're pretty heavy.

Most will say Chrysamere.
I say Stendarrs Hammer and Azuria (mod which gives you a sword that turns you into a vampire)

Yeah, the Daedric Cresent is a really good weapon. I like the dai-katana though cause it looks cool and long, I'm not saying the Daedric cresent is bad but I like the katana more.

Spoiler:

There's a locked jewel box in Tel Fyr on the shelf next to Mr. Fyr. Find a way to get into the box without killing him or being caught and examine the item inside. You should be able to figure it out from there. There is more than one way to get into the box. If you try to pick it you will need to bypass a 100 pt lock without getting caught. This is how I nomally get the object, the other way requires exploring the entire building, including the Corprusarium and gathering up a number of objects. Highlight for major spoiler: There are a bunch of keys inside the chests in the Corprusarium with different numbers on them. When you find one key it should open a lock to another chest. The last key is supposed to open the box on the shelf. I've never had the patience for this. Instead I just get my lockpicking and sneak skills high enough to lockpick the box. Chameleon should help as well. You can maneuver around Mr. Fyr until he is looking away from the box and with some care and luck manage to get in by lockpicking.

I agree: Skullcrusher all the way. I like the fact that its enchanted with feather and fortify attack. Two usefull enchantments that won't get reflected back on you by someone with high reflect protections. With a high stats one blow of Skullcrusher will send a dremora lord or daedroth to it's knees and the second will kill it.

Well, there are many... It depends on your playing style. Do you prefer 1 or 2 handed weapons. My personal unenchanted one handed weapon is the Deadric Katana. And the Deadric Dia-Katana for two handed. Both do huge chop damage. I prefer the single hand wepons so that I can wield a shield to absorb damage. Now to answer your question...

I call this sword the KATANA DEATH BLADE. This weapon can kill a Golden Saint, at 100 max difficulty, in 2-3 good hits and most others with a single blow. Find a Deadric Katana and enchant using Cast When Strike using a 50K+ value soul (ie: Golden Saint, Winged Twilight, Ash Ghoul, etc...) (this gives you lots of hits before needing recharging) using Damage Health with 40-50pts. This means that for every hit you do somethng like 50-100pts of damage. Not many creatures has take that kind of beating. Then make Deadric Wachaski and enchant using the same tactic but with Paralisis 5-10 sec.

Now you have two very powerful weapons... one main and one backup. You will need nothing else.
