Per the site owner's sticky thread titled in capitals, at the top of the forum:

To ensure that everyone gets the most out of their Baldur's Gate II adventuring, please make sure to add "SPOILER" to the name of any new threads that contain information that might spoil someone else's gaming experience.

I'll change this thread, and also give some idea about your question in it--which is kinda hard to figure, based on the title you have there, now. Please remember to entitle your threads with spoilers appropriately in the future, Xanador.

And welcome to the forum. ;)

Start at the bottom right, (turn on solo mode)
Walk to the top right, and then go back to the centre right(just walk the tiles again)
Walk to the left, and then to the top-left.
Then go to the bottem-left

Hope this helps.

@Fable, PS he didnt spoil my Baldur's Gate II experience ;)

[EDIT] this is from a walktrough maybe it's easyer
Another easy solution is the telephone analogy. The numbers 1, 2, and 3 are across the top tiles near the back of the room, from left to right. Below those, are 4, 5 and 6, across the middle row of the nine tile pattern. The bottom row contains 7, 8 and 9. You should walk the tiles in this order: 9, 6, 3, 6, 5, 4, 7, 4, 1. And the door should open. Remember, you may only touch each tile in the instructions once.
And welcome to the board!

i think it was a crack at the fact that this game is not Baldur's Gate 2.

and though the walkthrough says you can touch the tile only once i did not have this problem. i mean sure you had to avoid the tiles you didn't want activated, but i personally ran straight up the right hand side, the turned around and ran down what was originally the left-hand side(but since i had turned around was now the right hand side again. then you have your two posts and it becomes really easy to see where to connect them to form the H. but to make the final part of the H i ran across two tiles i had already lit. (and if i remeber correctly you can step off at anytime, the only thing that will reset it, is that tile all by itself.)

That was my experience, as well. The puzzle was ridiculously easy, if you just followed the data thing (whatever it was) that might as well have been labeled DEAD GIVEAWAY, HERE.
