I beat this game! Woot! best game since Baldur's Gate 1
*highlight for spoiler*
the plot is fun yes but.. replaying isnt that nice cause you already know everything. In the beginning you know your char is Revan and whole thing seems ridiculous!
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.
Highlite only once you finished the game I dont know, the second time you get some of the hints that are given to you. But I agree i was stunned when i found out. Kind of like the Usual Suspects (for those who dont know it, one of the best movies ever)
I knew as soon as we were shown the first cutscene of Revan wearing a mask that it had to be your character--it seemed both obvious and cliched, and I figured someone had done a mindwipe, or you'd been severely brain-injured in some kind of explosion. It was handled decently enough, but the whole LSP/DSP awards thing is so arbitrary, and the party NPCs really didn't have the level of apparent self-will that they had in BG2 which I liked so much. You had to goad Zal to kill Mission; in BG2, characters of opposing ethos would argue and try to kill one another without your invovlement, which seemed far more realistic.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
