Do you need Aerie for the Haer'Dalis Quest?

Just wondering if Aerie is required after you save the circus to get the message from quayle to do the Haer'Dalis Quest.

you don't need any of the NPCs with you for any quest except for the one they are specifcally attached to

I just remember that quayle was specifically looking for aerie when the quest came up and I did not wanna miss on such a rich adventure..............

the quest is always there...just walk down the basement of that tavern and watch their play, she'll recruit you after it flops.
