I'm expecting a beta of Beyond Divinity, soon, and will post just a bit about the game after I take a look at it. It's currently set for release in April.

First thing to note: where you controlled a single player in DD, in BD you have a party of two. Interestingly enough, you've been brought through some kind of dimensional portal into a hellish universe, and soul-bonded to a demon knight of sorts. It's a punishment--for him. If one dies, you both die. Nor can you leave one another's presence. Interesting. I'll be curious to see what they do with this, but at least at the start, the knight is a sullen character who pretty much detests you.
