Kangaax Question ===> Spoiler

Post by Andante »

Hello,

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if it's just a bug in my game.

I gave Kangaax the body parts he needed, and battle commenced. The problem is that his first form will not die. He gets to "Almost Dead", but (no matter how much I hurt him) he will not die. I've spent about an hour trying different things to kill the first form, but nothing works. By the time I'm ready to give up (this is my 3rd time I've battled him, all with the same results), he is completely out of spells, and he has to rely on physical attacks.

It has probably happened to more than it hasn't happened to. Are you protected from the undead? There is a script that needs to kick in and under circumstances it wont. If it doesn't he stays at near death.

Kangaxx is undead, thus if you are using a protection from undeaddead scroll on your PC he CANNOT see you, the same could apply if you are currently invisible.

I suspect that is the problem, cast dispell on your PC to fix it, if you arent invisible / didnt protection from undead try walking up to him with your PC and manually TALK to him, ie click the talk icon then click Kangaxx while he's hostile.

Failing that you should have your autosave when you entered the room. So maybe reload if it still isnt working.

A sidenote on protection from undead scrolls... They make you invisible and undetectable to undead, as some important game characters are undead this will prevent them from initiating dialog with you and can thus cause some scripts to malfunction, those things are more trouble then they are worth in my opinion.

Thanks!

Thank you very much. That's what the problem was. This time I didn't use 'Protection from Undead', and his first form died and he transformed into a Demi-Lich

I appreciate the help.
