[SOME MINOR SPOILERS BELOW.]
Been playing the game for a while now and loving it, despite some obvious issues. I have, however, stumbled on a question I'm hoping the forum can help me with...
My monk is holding up pretty well as a frontline fighter, with his only obvious shortcoming being that he doesn't have the magicked-up weaponry that the other fighters have in their swords, axes, etc. The answer to the problem seems to be the construction (or acquisition) of an Amulet of Might Fists. Unfortunately, the spell required to create the item is Greater Magic Fang, which appears to be only available to druids. I've been dragging Meleny along in hopes that she'll elect Craft Wondrous Item as a feat, but by 6th level, she's shown no willingness to cooperate.
I don't really want to swap out any of my core characters for a PC druid character, and it'd take forever to get them to the proper level anyway.
So can anyone suggest a method of acquiring an Amulet of Mighty Fists? I understand that there's a druid NPC further down in the temple, but again, there are no guarantees that she'll be willing or able to help me.
Thanks in advance.
Amulet of Mighty Fists
i don't think you need it, it depends on your "problem"... the monk gets a special ability at 4th level that says that the monk's unarmed attacks are treated as magical weapons for purposes of dealing damage to creatures with damage reduction, and it improves upon reaching 10th level. I read this on the D&D 3.5 Player's Handbook, i don't think they would change this ability in ToEE...
