It's driving me insane!

Listen, if anybody could help me here I would be more than very appreciative. The game continues to kick me out on the second level of the temple's dungeon (the level with the fire, water, and air temple leaders on it). After wandering around the beginning of the level and killing the air leader, I accepted the quest from the water temple to recruit the troll king. So I do that, but get bored and decide to kill the water and fire leaders. After that, I can't go anywhere farther down the map in the level. Any attempt to travel closer to the troll king (who I plan to kill next) results in having the game shut down one me. In fact, trying to go to any location much further south than either of the two leaders (fire and water) gets me kicked out. I've heard some remedies for this but none have made any sense. It's incredibly aggrivating to finally get used to the laggy mouse just to be unable to advance in the game. Sorry for the lengthy message but thanks in advance for any and all help.

Try posting on the Atari tech support forums..they might have something.. or even their general forum it has lots of traffic. The best I can suggest is to make sure you have the latest DirectX and the latest Drivers for your video card.
(latest drivers for everything is good) for good measure defrag your hard drive if you haven't lately.
