I wasnt certain where to suggest this so sorry if im being an evil-doer
with the amount of mods that are out/just come out/in the making, I was thinking that maybe there should be a BG2 mod forums so that people in the regular BG2 forums (especially new ones) dont get confused/spoiled when others start discussing mods.
It would also partly avoid the problem of people asking a technical question in the BG2 forums that is actually because of a mod?
what do you think?

This would have been a great idea a few years ago when Baldur's Gate II was in full swing. However, at this point, I think we might be too late and the forum wouldn't get the traffic it deserved.
I may start a forum for MODs in general (for any game), but that might become a little cluttered over time. Any other suggestions on how we could offer support for MOD discussion?

i dont think BG2 is low on traffic. Just look at the current BG2 forums, and at the IE modding community forums.

Perhaps if this were a mod area, subidivided into forums for Morrowind, the BG series, and NWN--but agreed, that would take up quite a bit of space.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I think it also would be hard to make the Bg2 "modders" move to the mod forum... there is bound to still be alot of mod posts in the bg2 forum anyway...Originally posted by fable

I don't see the idea as impossible. Mostly it would just be a question of people getting used to it. Not unlike when a separate forum was created for ToB.
Besides, when Game Banshee's moderators swoop down on unsuspecting violaters, threatening them with banishment to Buck's *dungeon*, no doubt the said offenders will comply in short order
