Diary Question

I have the diary from lareth how do I use it to get the location of nulb?

Also any way to identify items and avoid the 100 gold penalty?

with the Co8 patch you can ID potions with the read magic spell (make a read magic wand for more savings) also make an ID wand (gives 20 charges for 375 gp I believe)
as to the diary. I think you can 'use it' in the inventory screen..that might only be wiht the Co8 mode which enables dialogue with the diary to read through it.

Ya I got the co8 patch but read magic still cost 100 gp if you watch your gold you will see it take 100 gp every time you read magic to id a potion or scroll.

If it does it shouldn't be, make sure you report it to the Co8 forums if you notice it doing that..
either way you can make the wand for 375 gp and get 20 IDs for it so only like 18.5 gp/id
