Can ARROWS be ENCHANTED???

Post by FRAGZILLA »

Can ARROWS be ENCHANTED??? I tried but was uable to make it work. I've tried all types: Glass, Iron, Steel, Silver, Chitin, etc... without success. I wanted to make some Soul Trap Arrows -- eheh.

Also, if you enchant a bow with Damage Health or Soul Trap, will it apply the damage to a successful arrow strike or would you have to hit them with the bow itself... if that's even possible?

My suggestion first off is, DONT ENCHANT ARROWS! you use them to much and there is no gaurentee that you'll get them back. As for the bow thing i dont know, however i know you cant hit anything with the bow itself. But seriously, enchanting arrows....bad idea.

Bad Idea?

I don't mean to waste a Grand or even a Greater Gem on them but maybe some of the petty or lesser gems. You can get unlimited lesser and common gems by killing Bone Lords, letting them respawn, tak ethe gem they leave and repeat so I have lots of extra souls to spare -- eheh.

Enchant the bow. I tried to enchant two bows, and this is what I learned: Offensive spells make no difference. They don't add damage to the arrows. However, the arrows WILL do damage to creatures that require enchanted weapons. And any spells are good. I, for one, chose to "Feather" my bow, and it worked against all manners of daedra (except, of course, those thar are immune to magic). The second bow I made, with fire-spells, worked as well, but the fire-spells gave no extra damage. No boom. Thus, enchant your bow with Feather, Fortify Attribute or the like.

I tried to enchant arrows and it's quite possible and quite useless. First, they do not stack, you have to re-equip them one by one for every shot, very annoying. The second, you cannot put on them anything worth to (except probably Soultrap) what isn't already on in-game arrows. The third, you're never getting enchanted (of any kind) arrows back (save if you have a special mod), only (with some probability) unenchaned ones.

Arrows

Yeah, I tried to enchant a 'bunch' of arrows but they were not avail. I already have the 2lb Bonebiter Bow which works well. I just ran out of magic arrows and need more! So, to put evreyone's mind at ease, I will not be enchanting arrows.

If you're on xbox, no luck - only if you find some Skeleton archers (the armorer in Ebonhert can sell unlimited number of Glaas arrows, however). If you're on PC, get the official Area Effect Arrows plugin, you'd have a shop in Vives with unlimited store of almost all kinds of missiles, enchanted including.
