Sorcerer Problems

I am just starting this game i have a Sorcerer that can not cast any spells. There all there but there all grayed out. She can not cast any of them. she is only level 5 but still she seems kind of usless at the time.

Please help so I dont have to snuff her out!

Does she have a charisma of at least 11? she needs charisma of 10+level of the spell to cast it.
