Blades and Ashlanders

Post by jabbamonkey »

Hi, I'm trying to finish up Morrowind (I have defeated Dagoth Ur, but now I'm running through all the guild quests). I had a question about the Blades and the Ashlanders....

When I view my stats, I can see what guilds I am a member of, what my rank is in the guild, and what I need to advance (if I'm not at the top ranks). Well, when I look at the Blades, or the Ashlanders info, I am at some low rank. Who do I go to in order to raise these ranks?

Caius left near the beginning of the game, so noone was left to raise my rank in the Blades .... and give more quests....

As for the Ashlanders... other than a few quests I did to "join the tribes", I'm not sure who I go to for more quests and advances...

Please let me know.

After Caius leaves you cannot advance beyond Operative. I think the highest you can get with the Ashlanders is Brother. There are only a couple of quests for them that are not main quest related. Possibly only one quest per Camp. In Urshilaku one woman wants you to avenge the death of her husband. The particular individual is also the target of a Morag Tong quest so you probably already killed him. In Ahemmusa camp I think the only side quest is the white guar. I don't know of any Zainab or Erabenimsun camp side quests per se but there may be something there that I haven't found.

... and be aware it's rumored that threre are some Grandmaster writs after Dagoth Ur is dead ;)

BTW, AFAIK the Ashlander you have to kill for Morag Tong is not the same as one for Ashlander widow, even the region is another (one near the Tel Fyr, the other in Shegorad).

Huh?

Grand Master Writs? What do you mean?

The Morag Tong <sp?> offers writs for their quests - but I've completed all their writes and am already at the highest level in that guild.

If you are refering to the 7 Dagoth Ur Lords (Endusol, etc.), I have already wiped them out. (Where there quests to get rid of them? Most were optional to complete the game).

SPOILER:

After Dagoth Ur is dead you, as grandmaster of the Morag Tong, can visit the Morag Tong hq's in the various cities. Some will give you "Grandmaster Writs" to kill some very important NPCs including Beladas, the head of the Imperial Legion, Dren's (head of the Commona Tong), etc. Of course there is a pretty good chance that you already killed some of these guys. IMO it is pointless and besides I think Beladas is a nice guy. If you are sharing the head spot in the Mages guild with Trebonius he will give you one last quest to kill all of the Telvanni Councilors. At least with this quest he gives you his very nice enchanted Necromancer amulet and then retires from the game.
