Soul Safari

This is just for fun.

1) Make a ring or amulet with Constant Effect, Levitate 1-8pts.
2) Make a spell of Soul Trap on Target for whatever duration 30-60 sec is plenty for all except grand creatures where you might want 90-120sec
3) Get a bow, dozens of arrows, and as many petty, lesser and common soul gems as you can, minus the Greater and Grand Gems unless you like big game hunting -- eheh.
4) Levitate high enough so that you're out-of-range
5) Cast Soul Trap on target
6) Unleash a volley of arrows on the poor, defenseless soul
7) Collect soul, rinse and repeat

Stealing souls has got to be one of my favorite pastimes. I can't get enough. The most satisfying, though not very profitable, is stealing the cowardly, backstabing souls of those irratating Cliff Racers. Especially at Red Mountain where numbers are abundant. "Stab me in the back will you... I'll swallow your soul then cast your empty husk into the abyss."

Take a dungeon with plenty of Daedras (undead are of no use after level 6, when Skeleton Archers are off). Some tombs or Ald Sotha, for example. Or some Six House base as well. Get good enough Chameleon (20+20% at the begining and 20% later with Sneak grown usually is good enough for me) and Agility boost. Weapon: Soultrap 2sec + Absorb Health for the rest of capacity on Touch, cast on strike. (And another one w.o Soultrap for those what souls aren't wanted). Now go, sneak and backstab. Do not forget to clear the corpses, leave and return, new company of preys will await you ;) Your Sneak is rocketing, your weapon skill the same, if you've boosted your Agility and chosen the decent level of Chameleon, you've hardly got a scratch, and your chests are full with gems. I use them mostly to recharge to quickly develop the Enchant skill, altogether there's always a chest or two spare at level 15. Common Gems, of course, Grand ones come after and have another treatment, altogether mostly are going to be filled in the same manner and the same places. The slopes and sites of Red Mountain are good for such hunting, too, however i'd prefer to go there after i've got some CE Chameleon - you cannot easely exit and return here, so for decent game you're going to have to cover large enough areas.
