Exactly what I'm planning to do very shortly...powergaming is so much fun :D

Good. Please post a list of items offered. Since I'm currently playing a monk with weapon specialization in hand-to-hand and marksman, the draedric bow was what I wanted anyway. Normally I've had to trek up to the Maar Gan region to find the shrine that has the other draedric bow and levitate up to its secret hiding place(that shrine is crawling with nasties). So far I'm really enjoying the Hlaalu house quests - I absolutely love Crassius Curio (even though I'm playing a green gnarly butt ugly fang-jawed female orc, I can tell Crassius is really turned on to me :D ).
Will do. Check out the info about the fletcher above, too, in case you missed it :)

You know, I think even if you were playing as a mudcrab, good ol' Crassius would still want to fiddle with your pincers... :D

OK, dedicated readers, here's the lowdown on Dram Bero's Daedric weapons stash. I must say, finding the mine was almost easier than finding Dram himself - I didn't have to pull out my unlocking amulet to get into the mine :p Dram asks you for the location of the lost ebony mine, and when you tell him he gives you these options as a reward:

Axe - A Daedric Battle Axe
Blunt - Sorry, warhammer fans, only a Daedric Staff for you...
Longblade - Daedric Katana
Bows - Daedric Longbow
Short blade - Daedric Wakizashi
Spear - Daedric Spear.

Most of these are extremely hard to find without slaughtering a lot of Dremora, so pick whichever you'll want and that will be the hardest to get on your own (I'm going for the Wakizashi, as said above the Longbow can be bought and the Katana can be "acquired" in the Dren Plantation, and the only fixed Wakizashi in the game is in a Dagoth stronghold) Once again, this is an incredibly simple way to got top-class weapons. On my way to getting it, I had to kill...wait for it...a Cliff Racer. And I started it :p

Dram Bero? Where is he at?

Also that Crassius is kinda weird, i think he is bisexual and racesexual too (bethesda got too tired of scripting :) )

Even though I barely ever play beast, he asked both a girl character of mine and a guy...

Anyway, small thought there

EDIT - By "fixed", I mean that you always know exactly where to find it - the ones off Dremora are random.
As I said above, and you probably missed it:
Oh, and if you've installed the Area Effect Arrows official plugin from Bethesda, Andaren the Fletcher on the bottom floor of the Foreign Quarter Waistworks has, along with a damn fine selection of arrows, a Daedric Long Bow and a Dwarven Crossbow. Personally, I'm inclined to give Bethesda a slap on the wrist for making the two best marksman weapons way too easy to find, but hey - it's official :)
So there you go.

Anyway, the wakizashi is a good choice, its my favorite sword - throw a nice paralyze when struck enchantment on it and you can kill anything without taking a scratch, even two or three attackers at once don't stand a chance.
Yeah I agree - once I've got it made into a Jinkblade (this would be actually a perfect item to use Vivec's soul on, but I won't be killing him till after the main quest) it's gonna be one mean sword. I might not even have to swap it around with Gold/Eltonbrand...

Back on the subject of bows, I have already messed up two good Deadric bows with silly enchantments. One of them I enchanted with soul trap when used. It doesn't work at all..and I paid nearly 70000 drakes for the enchantment.

Now what be a good enchantment for a luxary bow? Anyone?

For some reason Soul Trap on Strike doesn't work on ranged weapons...I don't know if this has been fixed in a patch...

You could either add a damage mod to it or the best idea I've heard is Constant Effect Levitate...that way the thing you're shooting can't get to you :p You don't need to be able to fit many Levitate points on it, 1 is enough to be cheesy beyond belief.

Hey, I did not know this was a known bug. I meant "on strike" of course..

Hey, I also did not know enemies can't hit you when you levitate. Stupid A.I... I think I will pass on that one then, I'm not a cheese lover. Or is the effect intentional? If so, the effect should work both ways, i.e., you can't hit a levitating enemy.

Of course it's intentional, when you're 12 foot above a guys head he finds it very difficult to hit you with his sword...especially when you're plugging him full with arrows ;)

Ah, you meant "you can't be hit by an enemy that has no ranged weapons or spells and is unable to reach you". I didn't get it that way.

Well, I guess I could try it then... Too bad the enemies don't use this tactic, I would be nice if there were some winged skeletons at Firemoth. Or maybe winged twilights should be able to attack like cliff racers do..

So, you guys were talking on bows, an enchanting them, if you do cast on strike, that never really hits the enimies I beat down... so is it different on PC? If you enchanted a bow with paralyze for 5 secs on strike would the bow paralyze the person you shot?

Thanks for the info

I think so, in the game there is a bow that damages an attribute on strike (I think it is agility). Since the bow is enchanted when you find it, I assume it realy works.

I assume the bow you are talking about is the bone-biter bow, it damages agility, but only cast when used, not cast when strike...

permanent bound weapons

I don't know if this will work on a PC but I've done it on Xbox, and since it came out well after the PC version it should work.

Get the best clothes you can-exquisite I think- and enchant them using a Golden Saint Grand Sould Gem, with constant effect, with the bound weapon of your choice. I enchanted a shirt with a bound longsword and had a weightless daedric longsword the rest of the game. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work with a bow.

I also think this will work-the bound longsword only took 10 of the 60 available enchantment slots for the shirt, so if I'd been thinking I could've put all the weapons in there that I wanted. Maybe you can only put one weapon enchantment into a clothing item but I don't see why-and why not add bound armors to it? All the benefit of Daedric armor with none of the weight.

No, it won't work as a cast of strike enchantment (talking PC game). Only as a cast on use enchantment will it work which means you'll have to put the enchanted item in a quick slot.
