Post by EternalKnight »

I need help in killing the guy that is killing the dwarves in the underdark. I cannot kill him, he always kills me! I have Imoen, Valygar, Jaheira, Amoen, Minsc, and I'm an Undead Hunter. Thanx!

Fiest you should cast resist fear. That helps alot. secondly use pierce magic spells like pierce magic and pierce shield. Thirdly make your fighters drink any type of giant strength potions. lastly use +3 or +4 weapons to hack him up. Also after piercing his magic resistance magic missile him or use energy spelld to kill him!!

Also haste all your characters for a quick kill. my mage somehow killed him by hitting him with a staffspear even though it said the weapon was ineffective.

i was stuck on balor for ages, he would carve up my party in no time and no spell had any effect. I was tearing my hair out. Then I though i would try being the slayer, i did so and creamed his ass in 10 seconds with the rest of my party standing in the corner and laughing at balors puny defense.

First the Balor is alomost immune to Magic so use Magical Weapons. +3 or +4 are good.
I used that Strategy and I sat back and laughed while my party carved the demon up.

My battle was long and drawn out, and culminated after a succession of reloads. My party is mage dominated, with only two good fighters, so I used my best summoning spells and summoned up five monsters to keep him busy while I pelted him with Melf's Minute Meteors (low hit rate and little damage to Balor) I just kept on summoning up more monsters as he finished some off. Each time I would be on the verge of killing him, then I would run out of spells, one of my fighters would die, and all would go to hell from there. Finally, it worked. Bottomline: summon up some cannon fodder. That will help you no matter what else you do Image

I'm with Lucian. I had Keldorn with Carsomyr+5, Minsc with Lilarcor+3, Aerie (with Tenser's Trans.) with Flail of Ages, and had no problem. Strong fighter parties have the advantage here, it would seem.
