Hi first post on this board .
I have encounter a rather boring bug. I have just emarged out of the underdark and I get a talk with this elf (don´t remember his name). when the talking is over and Jaheira starts too move some off her harper friends comes too kill me... So far so god. I start too fight and what happends that fu*king elf starts too interviene and begin too attack me so I attack him and then all becpmes gray and I die...
My english suck but I hope you have understand a bit...
Now I have tried every possible thing loaded the aoutsave and rested for a week but still the same senario evolves. I don´t want too leave jahiera behind what shall I do?
Hmmm, with Jahaira's Romance...if she is you love interest then the harpers should not attack you at all...but if shes not which is what it looks like. You will have to fight them. I am assuming the elf you are talking about is part of the harper's. She initiates conversation with you i think...Shes tough but not that tough. Change strategies and wack her.
My friend you are in serious problem. I have read someplace that someone had the same problem. My advice (I THINK that this works) is before leaving the underdark boot Jaheira out the party. But if you are romancing her, well, that is the end of it. The other way is going back to a saved game before going in the boat trip, let some time pass, do some quest and wait for them to show up.
Hmm I am in serios trouble I wan´t too have a romance (That´s wy I play ). I´ts hard too explain but I didn´t use any areas attack I have played for a day or so too solve the problem but it didn´t work. Looks like I have too start over for the 20th time man I must be the biggest looser out there I have started over soo many times I have a walkthrought in my head.
Aha, the problem becomes clear. If Shes not your love interest I say boot her out. I believe you can pick her up again somewhere... If she is...i wonder if you can haste everyone and run the hell away...
Hey mate....You are in some big trouble.....something similar happened to me when coming out of the underdark. There were some drow fighting some elves at the entrance to the underdark (above ground)...so being the good samaritan I tried to help the Elves...but what happened - a drow mage cast a fireball on Minsc and since he was equipped with the cloak of mirroring (I think that is the one...the cloak that reflects spells in anyway) the fireball bounced back...hit the drow and some "friendly" elves as well....they turned red....I though sh*t...I entered the underdark Autosaving and Quicksaving....now as fast as I left the Underdark and entered the elven camp...there was a dialogue...the screen turned grey...and the elven war mages killed me without giving me the chance to run.....what did I do???? I restarted a completely new game...and since then I´ve been taking it easy at the elven camp...

you might be ok. if you made boots of speed then you have shadowkeeper. check your global variables for any with jaheiras name in them and write down the names and numbers. kick her out before the elfs attack you then go to town and get her back after you visit the elf general. when you have her back edit the global variables with her name to the same as they were before and she should still like you. =)
Hehe I don´t have shadowkeeper just drag the singelplayer save into the multiplayer save and export a character with a pair off boots the import three of the same character then you have three pairs kind of boring nut it works... I did it in bg1 and I have characters with 25 in every ability. Sometimes cheeting is fun
Anyway I restarted the whole game and it took me 20hours but know I´m back at the same spot
