I finally manage to kill Draconis (human form) and I`ve managed to get away and buff up for the serious stuff.
I have two members with timestop. What`s the best way to use these? When I try to use them I get about one or two hits before the spell ends. When Draconis used it, he had time to go around my party several times. Doesn`t seem fair. Am I doing something wrong? If this is correct, what spells should I be using in the limited time available? I have most of the really nasty spells but some don`t seem to work against the dragon.
I have all the types of trigger spells. Once I have programed them, how do I check them or alter them without using them?
My party -
Kensi/Mage
Keldorn
Korgan
Aerie
Imoen
Viconia
Levels between 22/30
Cheers
Spell Triggers and Timestop-Spoiler
Isn't draconis immune to timestop?
anyways, you should use improved alactricity with time stop, this way you can empty your spell book in 2 time stops. triggers also help alot and contigencies. lower res is a must and so is breach. You might wanna throw a spell breach also (or ruby ray if u don't have spell strike). Fingers of death are nice and chromatic orbs can help alot. Melf's acid arrows can be great to stop him after the time stop has stopped and ofcourse dragon breath and such things can do alot of nice dmg. Then just wack him on his head and your done

Timestops..
Personally, I don't like timestop much, it's such a bloody nuisance to use - but it can be quite helpful, so here's a few suggestions:
1) if you're going to use it, be sure to set auto-pause to spell cast!
2) As Garazdawi said, use greater alacrity, or at least cast-and-attack (Energy blades are great for that)
3) Remember that damage-over-time spells (incendiary cloud, death fog) will be working their magic while time stop is running, so cast them first.
4) If you have multiple characters who can timestop, stagger them, so one triggers right after the other
5) Tashia's pet is immune. Make sure He's chewing on someone if she's in your party. Some enemies are immune, too.
On triggers, you can't check them at all. I temd to use consistent triggers whenever possible, so I know what's there. I tend to use debuffs a lot (lower resist, malison, breach, slow, etc. )
Contingencies are visible - look at the bottom of your mage spell book, there'll be a box labelled contingency - you can check the contents, and dispel if you like. Remember, chain contingency can be cast when paused, and does NOT count towards your normal one spell per round limit.
Remember, one of Aerie's b est features is using clerical spells in triggers & contingencies.

I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Thanks for that. Yes, you can use timestop against Draconis.
I almost had him. He was badly injured and then, after a while, he was uninjured. I didn`t know he could do that. Makes it that much harder.
Trouble is, there`s nowhere to hide. I have simalcrum on 3 members but don`t get the chance to use it cos the dragon`s on to me immediately.
I thought Sendai and her clones was bad enough. This guy`s evil.
I even tried turning into the slayer and got done in no time at all.
I`ll get him eventually. If any of my team die, I usually restart the battle.
I think I`ll make an exception in this case and get the restoration rod out.
