Please put *spoilers* in the title of this thread

If you face him like a normal opponent, you're due a certain degree of a** kicking.
Actually, the way to beat him that this site suggests is similar to the way I fought one of the arena people on Taris.

Malak is a big scary guy....so run away.
You don't have to use throw light sabre, although its the most useful. You just need some sort of ranged attack.
You can throw grenades, lay mines(and then run to the other side of them)

If you really have NOTHING that you can use to any great effect, you might want to load up an earlier save. You may have levelled up several times whilst on the Forge. Now select something like throw light sabre when you level up, and you'll be OK. You'll also want force drain.

I only had level1 sabre throw, and I managed it.

You have to get his health down once so that he uses the jedi, then you can destroy them.

The best way to take them out is to use force drain, then you replenish your own health too.
I used lightening as I didnt have drain, worked well.

Hope that helps.
I think its a bit of a chickeny way to do it though. When you first face Malak, he's easy. You can just slash away at him. But now he's so difficult that pretty much everyone sinks to the level of taking advantage of the fact that AI in all games everyone....sucks.
