Sendai in BG1

Post by ElesarTheStrong »

I recall killing someone called Sendai in BG1. Is this Sendai of the Five or just another person called Sendai?

The person called Sendai in BG1 identifies herself as follows: "I am Sendai, of the noble merchant house of Argrims, foremost family in Amn. Delgod, Alexander, and I have come out here to hunt game." AND you were able to kill her with a low-level party. That doesn't sound like one of the Five to me. :)

Possibly she matured over time. ;) But she does have some nice goodies on her, and she comes with a pair of very dangerous bowmen (magic bows, as I recall). So she could be a younger version of the same person we all grow to love to hate.

I think not...

Sendai of BG2 is a dark elf, no? Sendai of BG1 is not.

If my premises are correct, they're not likely the same person.
I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Bah. A little transformative magic would take care of that. ;)

All it would require is a little self-transformation spell, though. I always wondered why that was limited to species, and didn't include race--hell, especially since the game series includes a gender-changing girdle. Given the complexities of morphing from a human to a wolf, I would think changing race, or at least using a glimmer to give that appearance, would be relatively simple.

How clever of Sendai to disguise herself, and pretend to be a member of Amn's foremost family, no less! :) And to maintain the illusion, she avoids the use of her powerful magic in combat, even at the cost of her life. How positively brilliant. :)

You do realize, of course, that you're the only person who's taking this nonsense seriously? :)

If that's the case, it wouldn't be the first time. :)

Sendai in BG1? Is she part of that group that hunts you in the nashkel mines exit area? Or is she in the cloakwood forest?

Sendai and her companions, Delgod and Alexander, can be found in the Cloud Peak Mountains, the same area where you meet Albert (who is looking for his dog Ruffie). It's also the same area where you meet Larry, Darryl, and Darryl, as well as the guy who introduces you to "the fastest dart-thrower in the west". If you can't remember the area from that description, then I guess you need to go there in the game and see it for yourself. :)
